Does Apex make good TV's? I am looking at the APEX AT2408S 24 inch Television with Stereo for my apartment. It cost$200.

Apex has a (probably well deserved) reputation for making crap.

If you're looking for a dispoable TV with a mediocre picture, go with Apex.

I paid $166 for a 20" flat screen Apex TV w/ built in DVD player. When playing widescreen DVD's the picture is skewed a bit on the bottom. The parental control locks also suck, as does the layout of the remote control. Considering that it was over $100+ cheaper than anything else in it's class, I won't complain *TOO* much. Just don't expect any top quality equipment with it.

any tv where they sell it in the local supermarket instead of the various electronic stores probably says something about the quality of the tv....or hey, maybe it's just cheap and they use cheap materials.

They are the "entry level" electronics brand. Some folks have good luck with them and some dont. I've heard many good reports from there cheap DVD players. If you are getting an APEX TV at least make sure its a flat tube.
