Looks awesome to me. Probably a lot more simple than Photoshop (which is overkill for me 90% of the time) and no doubt will have that lovely Apple simplicity to it.

Any more information on this program?

What other info do you need?
http://www.apple.com/aperture/

I'm concerned that it wont be a hit, mostly because people like myself have already been using Photoshop for years upon years and are just comfortable with it.

Um, it does not compete with Photoshop and has absolutely nothing to do with Photoshop..

It is more like a professional ACDSee. More for organization and what not..

Funny I post this on Anandtech and I get one misguided reply and I posted this on Ars and quickly had 10 replies from people pissed off at me for starting the 20th thread on the topic.

Must not be many photography buffs in the house ;)

Almost no mac users. And the ones that are here seem to suffer from short-term memory loss ;)

His wasn't a misguided reply, you're the one who brought up photoshop in your OP.

But anyway, yes, you're right, it's not meant to compete with photoshop. In fact, it appears to integrate with it. That said, my life doesn't rely enough on a seamless RAW workflow to need something like that. There's plenty of good, free, alternatives to ACDsee-like programs that allow me to edit with Photoshop Elements - which does nearly everything I'd ever need.

Nonetheless, it does look like a nice program, and I guess if I had a Mac and the money for both that and photoshop (or the latest PS elements), I'd be interested.
