That Iwill mobo should be ACPI compliant. If your mobo supports ACPI, it's a lot more stable with ACPI enabled in Win2k. Are there any BIOSes from Iwill you can flash that have ACPI in them?
I would highly recommend a reformat and disabling ACPI during install, because switching it in Device Manager almost always leads to a BSOD on startup. I suggest backing up everything, and making a "hardware profile" in System Properties before switching to Standard PC HAL.
To switch, go to Device Manager (Windowskey+Pausekey|Hardware>Device Manager), and expand the first item on the list (Computer). Then it will have 'Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) PC' or 'Uniprocessor ACPI compliant PC' listed. Regardless of which it is, right click on it, and go to Properties. Change the driver to 'Standard PC/HAL'.
If upon reboot, your machine BSODs when starting up, insert your Win2k CD and boot with it. Then go through the repair option and replace the hardware profile with the one you backed up beforehand. It should start up fine. Good luck
