APC 500VA UPS-CS + extras - HOT!

BestBuy has the Belkin 500VA for $25 after rebate and the 800VA for $50 after rebate.

Just another option if there isn't an OD near you.

That is true. 🙂

I have no experience with Belkin but hear they are reputable. Personally I've had two APC UPS-CS 350's for 2 years now and can't complain. They deliver the protection they state. The recall they had recently on the 350 was also extremely painless.

Guess no one is in the market for one of these. Little hard to believe that though. Wouldn't one of these even be a great X-Mas gift?

how do I add the coupon code to the basket? The deal is instore, and you have to print the list in the basket and bring to the store?

and I heard office depot disabled the use of coupons with anything already discounted (rebate/instant rebate), is it true?

I got as far as Checkout in the process after adding the coupon to my basket. Check out Dealcoupon.com for the OfficeDepot coupon I'm referring to.

search for the item # i provided.
add it to the basket.
go to your basket and at the bottom go to "coupon summary" and enter the coupon code and hit apply.

should look like this: IMAGE at checkout.

there seems to be no mention of not being able to combine the rebate and coupon. on the linked rebate for there is also no mention of "in-store only" on the rebate itself.

I've had apc backup units for years and never had a problem with them yet. They may cost a tad more but I feel its worth it. When it comes to power protection, apc is #1. No I don't work for them either. My current system is a apc smart-ups 1000xl (xl=can be upgraded with additional battery packs). I have 4 additional runtime battery packs attached. It will run my pc/monitor for around 9 hours or so. However now I have my entertainment system, spare lamp, and a few others attached to it as well. With everything turned on at the same time, the load still only hangs around 70% or so. Oh ya, I also have a smaller apc unit (apc back-ups es 500) which handles other misc loads such as the scanner, ext modem, answering machine, laptop charger, phone, digital camera, etc.. The smaller units are just as good.

Just got the belkin, and it is impressive. All metal case, both kinds of cables and a phone cable tossed in for good measure. Will let you know about software.

They had a recall? I'll have to check on this. I have an APC 350VA that my VCR was plugged into that quit working. I haven't had time to check what went wrong or if it is still under warranty. Maybe I can get a replacement through the recall?

yeah APC had a recall because the UPS are blowing up and causing fire. If I remembred correctly.

Maybe I'll get both APC and Belkin just to test out the battery time for my system.

Just went back and checked my receipts. It's a Conexant, not an APC. Oh well. At least I have a replacement.
