APC 500VA UPS Back-UPS ES Series $19.94 after MIR (B&M Only)

I just went into my local staples and bought a APC 500VA UPS model number: BE500 for $49.94 with a $30 MIR that expires 8-07-2002.

The only difference between this one and the one sold online is a 25K equipment protection guarantee instead of 50k. Like we care!

YMMV. I have no idea how many are out there. There were 2 in the store I looked at and my bro and I bought both.

Remember it's $49.94 and has a 25k protection guarantee on the box.

Get them on or before 8-7-02 to qualify for the MIR. Can be model BE500 OR CNB500

A picture of the item can be had if you look up item number 474046 at staples website.

I'm pretty sure this isn't a repost. Sorry if it is repost police.

Update:

I just noticed online that the rebate form says purchase dates from 6-11-02 to 9-16-02. This contradicts what my rebate printout receipt says. The receipt shows 6-11-02 to 8-07-02, weird. Anyway, I guess you have until 9-16-02 instead.

thanks! i need one of these for the house i'm going to be sharing at college. when you turn the microwave on, the power goes off =D (and i didn't even have comps there yet, i was just running a couple fans!)

how come they don't have the rebate on the online web page, the page where they sell the ups. Its still a good deal if you buy online because there's free shipping, at 30 bucks.

Also, did the price tag on the shelf indicate a rebate, or did you just get one at the counter. I just went to my staples today and did not see any UPS with any rebate tags that's why.

This deal has been going on for quite awhile at Staples. The APC 500VA (sku 455378) and the Conext 500VA (sku 438607) are clearance items. Some people posted previously that they got them free or got paid for buying them because their stores sold them for less. Not the case in CA. Also, it does appear that they've extended the rebate.

The sku the op posted isn't the one that qualifies for the rebate. It's only so people can see what the back-up looks like.

hamburglar, my store had a sign above them that stated there was a $30 rebate available. The rebate form is on Staples.com

So if it does not say there is a $30 rebate on the shelf, that means that its the wrong model right and I shouldn't buy it? This is confusing.
The link on the sku posted is the 500VA, which the rebate requires. But you said its not the same. So im assuming that there are two different APC 500VA models. But how can you tell if it is the qualifying BE500 or not. The web site does not show. Should I call up my local staples to have them check? Im confused 😕

The item on the web page was just to show you what it looks like. There is no rebate for that model.

No, the price tag in the store did not show a rebate. It came up at the register.

I posted the correct sku #'s for the models that qualify for the $30 rebate. If the rebate form doesn't print out at the register, you can print it off Staples.com. I've never had a rebate form print out at the register myself.

Apc 500VA Model BE500 - sku 455378

Conext 500VA Model CNB500 - sku 438607

If you don't see the above model #'s on the box or the sku on the shelf (or where ever they keep them) then they aren't the right ones. And you won't find them listed on Staples.com as they're clearance items. The newer models are the ones listed on the web site.
