Hello guys,
do you know if an APC 500VA ups is not enough for a system that uses 580W psu?
When doing work in ms office or surfing internet, I have no problems, but once I start games, my ups starts beeping and "overload" led lights up. If I unplug the monitor from ups, it works normal again.
So, should I change APC500VA for 650VA or 700VA ?
I plan on adding additional video card for SLI.

My current system is:
C2D e6750
8800Ultra
one Hitachi 160Gb sataII hdd
one dvd-rw
two 120mm fans
two 80mm fans
one HUGE fan on the side of the system case (Thermaltake Armor)
LG L204WT monitor (20.1)
Hiper HPU-4M580 psu

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

You won't be able to run on battery when running your computer under load. Sounds like it is OK at idle or near idle but that's about it. You'll want a larger UPS for sure. If you can get the 650VA or even better the 700VA that way you have room to expand some more later.

Thanks SparkyJJO,
I went and bought APC 700VA. Wanted to get 800VA with AVR but no such luck. Having limited choice = the suck !!! LOL
