ill be in Ohio... gonna live in a 3 bedroom apartment

we dont use AC's (the building has central air)... got a standard amount of electronics for a few 20-somethings

what do u guys pay?

I'm not an expert, but it seems like such an open-ended question. It really depends on insulation, total area of air that's being conditioned, one-level versus two-level, effectiveness of equipment....the list would go on and on.

I live in a house solo in south eastern PA.... With very very conservative energy use, I have been able to keep my power to $34.10 (207kw) and my natural gas $18.73 (8.0000 Ccf) last month with light use of window air conditioners. My house is around 2000 sq feet I think.... My water heater, heating and clothes drier are natural gas. All other appliances are clearly electric. I'm sure that's not of much help... but it's something for you to think about. I know 2 bedroom apartments with 3 chicks around here tend to score $80 summer electric bills with excessive use of them and hardly any gizmos.

last bill was ~$230

electric rates are somewhere around $0.16/kw-hr. it's so expensive that windmill power is actually cheaper.

Electric is about 50-60 dollars a month
Gas is about 10-13 dollars a month

1 bedroom apartment in central california

I pay about $60-$70/month in gas and electric... that's for a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 always-on computer and a window AC unit that's on for about 9 hours/day (it's only on when I'm sleeping).

it spikes a bit more during the winter time, since I like to keep the apartment warm (usually have the thermostat set to 70), and I'm always using the stove a lot during the holidays.

$100/month for 3 people in California. We have drafty single-pane windows and our own electric washer/dryer set. most of the people with low bills won't have their own washer/dryer on the bill.

When I lived in Virginia my electric bill ranged from $70-$205 a month

It was highest in the winter, keeping the heat on around 68-70 the bill would exceed $200
