Since people hate stories here are the cliffs immediately.

-old couple below us
-if you drop a TV dinner on the floor they think its to damn loud
- we have 2 cats and they run and jump
-they filed a complaint with the property saying we are to loud
-we got a letter saying we need to be more quiet because we are disturbing our neighboors

We know for sure its only the couple below us as the people on our sides are very nice and have never said anything.

How can the property take complaints from just 1 couple and immediately believe it. Especially if no one else is complaining.

Also if they keep complaining can the apt complex kick us out?

That means if i dont like someone i can just keep complaining saying they are loud and disrespectful and get them kicked out... makes no sense.

****

Anyone want spy pictures of the neighboors? I could try to go clandestine and get some possibly...:D

If you do get kicked out, turn on all your taps, tub, etc. and block them off...

That should be funny.

Unless you like to throw your cats and frozen meals at the walls, why would anyone else complain?

That's what you get for moving into an apartment. you can't do anything about it, except key up cars and slash tires

Trust me, living below someone with animals sucks. There's a guy who owns a dog in the apartment above mine and it barks all day long and then runs around and makes noise. Who wants to listen to that crap all day?

Now granted you have 2 cats, and I'm sure they can't meow that loud, but I'm sure when they run around or play or whatever it could get semi loud.

Wow, must be very sh1tty floors and walls if they can hear cats moving. I can't even hear my cat when she creeps up to pounce on my head.

That's because she is CREEPING. My brother's cats (2) sound like a stampede when they chase each other around. Who knew such small, fleet-footed critters could make such a noise just by running?

Old people hate kids, it's just the way it is.
Try to mollify them by letting them know you're AWARE of their issues and are trying to mitigate them. I hope your apt complex ALLOWS pets, lest that be the deciding issue.
Write a letter to the mgmt. telling them in detail how you're trying to reduce noise, extra rugs whatever. running and jumping pets are harder to control, but show you're trying to keep from exacerbating the situation.
Offer to move to a different apt. MAKE extra efforts to keep quiet from 9:00 pm on.

Other than that, save money to buy your own place. Then you can rock out with your cock out.

That was a joke... she runs around all the time too and i don't hear her. How much noise can a 10lb animal with padded paws make?

My dog on the other hand, you can hear her... but that's almost entirely because of her nails.

My apartment went to ****** about a month ago, we got a new neighbor above us... has 2 little kids. You can hear them running back and fowarth across the floor ALLLL day, and when their not running one of them is screaming and crying. I have never ever heard kids cry so much, literally for hours at a time. We keep filing complaints, not only do they run allll day and cry alll day she runs back and fowarth too chasing them screaming at the top of her lungs. It is driving us crazy. I have yet to figure out what the loud bangs are, it sounds like a TV fell on the floor from 6 feet up a few times a day, seriously sounds like something is going to crash through their floor.

I thought all cats were like that too...but my cat stomps around like an elephant. Despite weighing only 12 pounds she makes more sound running up and down the stairs then I do.

Just tell those walking corpses to turn their hearing aides down and to go suck on a tailpipe.

If they are complaining about your cats' walking, tell them to go fvck themselves with a coke can up the ass. My cat is 13 lbs and you can barely hear her making any noise, and trust me, she is hyperactive.

i got a girl above me with a couple cats and had to file a noise complaint against her cause she had a bf who moved in that played his music all loud and would thrash around in the apartment knocking stuff over. The girl blammed it on the cats, saying the cats were knocking stuff over, i was like that is BS theres no way a cat knocks over a tv at 6am and then turns on music

Yeah thats what my cats do. The old fart who lives below me has no job so hes home all day. They say we are up making noise in the late evenings and early morning hours. Both me and my girlfriend are graduate students who work /study minimum 12hours a day.

Start calling local retirement communities and nursing homes and have them send brochures to your neighbors, oh and also order a copy of Logan's Run at Amazon and have it mailed to them. Maybe they will get the point.

If you end up getting kicked out, make sure the night before to have wild, loud sex all night long... as a last hoorah.

We wrote a message to the regional property manager describing our situation. Hopefully that will be good. But if they kick us out, ****** them im getting a lawyer.
