I lol'd, but kids comically missing the point is nothing new. I remember a period in early-mid grade school where I'd write in random equations in the "show your work" section. The homework was retard level (iow, typical murrican public school level) and I could do the problems in my head ten times faster than I could write them out, so it never occurred to me that they would want me to show my work in that section. Instead I filled it with showy stuff like negative numbers and division when the actual questions were more like "5+14+3=?"
