Apache helicopters in downtown Portland, Oregon!

I'm glad that President Bush doesn't visit Portland that often, they've closed a 6 block radius around the downtown Portland Hilton hotel where he's staying.

If we still had Clinton as Pres he'd have it made since there's a McDonald's located just 2 blocks away from the Hilton hotel!

i see apache's all the time here in AZ. They do training drills and missions all the time.

I wish I saw them more often here in NC... their one of my favorite vehicles right next to a 360 Modena. I'd give my left testicle to have either one.

Apache's are actually made in Phoenix, that's why there are so many. They bring them out for test flights.

Yeah I think Boeing owns it now. I think it used to be McDonald Douglass but Boeing bought them. I don't know if it is complete assembly or just most of the parts, but I know the Phoenix area is considered where they are built.

i knew of all the defense contractors here, but never thought about the Russian thing. I've lived here for a little over a year and a half.

Well I don't think they are even aimed at the US anymore. I think a treaty in the 80's or early 90's made it so we could not target eachother by default. Of course it only takes 2 min to retarget the ICBM's.

Yeah but I think this one was real. It's not something stupid like the Indy 500 is raced here, we are a real military target. I think the US military had us on Russia's top 10 too. I think we were like 6. We are a huge defense contractor location. Well we were. A lot of them have left now. I think the Phoenix area is still one of the biggest though. We still have our Apache's, and one air force base.
