Hello all,

I recently decided that I wanted to install Tomcat onto Apache on my Red Hat Linux 7.3 box. I have been able to get Tomcat to run independantly, but not been able to get them to run together.

I have been referencing these docs:

One

and

Two

I must admit the first and second :))) times I read through these instructions I got more and more confused

If anyone else has "how to" documents to help, please send them my way.

I am hoping that I am confused because of my fatigue. I will try again tomorrow....

good news: you're not alone. documentation on tomcat ranges from awful to non-existant.

bad news: the only good howto i've ever found is for mod_webapp and apache 1.3 here

Bart,

Thanks for the link. It was helpful, but as you expected, it is not an exact fit. :( I am definitely better off than I was before though. :)

I will keep plugging away.

Hello all,

Well after a few more hours of reading and a few more of trial/error, I finally got it to work. My Apache webserver (now upgraded to the latest version 2.0.43) is now serving up Tomcat JSP/Servlet containers.

Thanks for your help Bart!

Schweeet!
