Anyone by any freak of a chance has any information about the Colonial America civil rights and freedom between the years 1750-1800?

Colonial rights went down during that time period which led to our Revolutionary War. The big ones are:

Sugar Act 1764
Stamp Act 1765 (repealed in 1766)
Tea Act 1773 (Boston Tea Party)
Intolerable Acts 1773

(I hope these sound familiar BTW)
 
Oh yeah, there was another law the English imposed that disallowed the settlers from going west of the Appalachin mountains (easier to control if they were just on the east coast). Ben Franklin came up with the Albany Plan of Union to unite them, but they weren't yet willing to listen in 1754 (I think thats when it was).

I just wondered about the civil rights, like what a person could do, and couldn't not do, and the "Great Awakening" and the rights of African Americans... stuff like that.
 
ahh the good ol african american PC junk...after the War of Independence they were freed from most northern states, usually after a generation. Of course they remained enslaved in the South.

I remember something about tarring and feathering 😛

The Great Awakening - hmm, first event to unite all the colonies. Some crazy preacher rambling about something...but he went everywhere.

And I got a 5 on the test less than 5 months ago, heeh.
 
Ah, I see. All I can say about civil rights is that they (English settlers) used the Indians to their advantage (when they could) obvioulsy in the French & Indian War, later they treated them like crap (Andrew Jackson era specifically). You probably already knew that though. African Americans, obviously, were slaves at the time, not much else to say about that. Don't know much else.
