I am writing a report based on an interview I did last week. I wan't to get this quote right but its difficult because I'm not sure what to look up when it comes to something like this. Here's the quote:
"You know what's so funny, I think that (my name) started off as a hindrance, and then it became a help. I almost can go on one name, Soledad, like Cher or something. Certainly at the beginning, you know, spelling your name for people, or even worse, when I was young and single I would go out to a night club and people would say, 'So what's your name?' and you'd say, 'Soledad!' they'd say, 'What?,' 'Soledad!,' 'What?,' 'Susan! My name is Susan!,' 'Ah!'" There was a cost to it, and now there is a value to it."
(It was initially in audio form, and I converted it to text).

Theres a lot of comma/quote use plus the back to back quotes within a single quote stuff isn't helping. Could someone help me write this correctly in AP style?
