AP NewsBreak: Barely half of illegal border crossers caught

The report found that 54 percent of people who entered illegally between border crossings got caught in the 2015 fiscal year. That's much lower than the 81 percent success rate that Homeland Security cited publicly using a different counting method.

Don't take this personal but there really isn't any reason to post these threads. This is how our government operates. Lies, obfuscation, corruption, graft, the whole shebang. It's not going to stop. Massage the numbers, outright lie, pretend its not happening, shrug indifference, whatever works in any given situation is how the political class operates.

We have a government that does not see any importance to having borders. A government run by people that has put lining their pockets ahead of the safety and security of its people. Votes are what matters. At least for now.

That this is occurring matters not to a majority of participants in this forum. They think with their hearts not their brains and they are rewarded for doing so. This kind of shit to them is normal. They don't know any different and as long as the government or a given candidate keeps promising them more, more, more, they will ignore it all.

The following might be interesting reading for some. Everything our government does has consequences and there just doesn't seem to be anybody involved in the process that cares what those consequences will be.
