In my Ap Government class I was assigned to complete a public opinion poll. In order to increase the size of my sampling, I decided to post it on the best forums in the world!

Some info on Bush's Budget Plan. Link

THANKS

I don't see how a budget plan can "positively promote our nation as a whole". In fact, I can't see anything we ever do that would do this.

Your friend sucks then and will see no sucess in college.

AP classes are a joke. They say they are college level courses, but that is definitley untrue unless you are comparing them to a community college class.

What makes you think AP classes are worth it? I didn't take one AP class, hell didn't even take the SAT's, and I got into college, graduated too. They wouldn't have helped me in the least, don't know how they help anyone else.

The fact that AP classes count as college credit is a pretty nice advantage wouldn't you say. College units = $$$

I agree. I'm a poli sci major and the crap I learned in AP govt was useless. the grading I thought was stranged too.

I had mixed up the 13th and 15th amendments in the essay portion yet someone still ended up with a 5 on the test.

You're asking a pre-dominantly liberal forum if anything of Bush's will work?

HA!

Depends on the college you go to. They wouldn't count for balls at the college I graduated from.

AP classes are a waste of time

fixed

how do you figure?

They are not a waste of time. They do get you some credits for college if you do well, but they are nowhere near as tough as real college courses.

Also the teachers like to say that taking AP credits saves you money. This is not really true, at most major universities you pay for the semester, regardles of if you take 9 credit hours or 18. So you are not really saving money unless your college gives you enough AP credits to take out a whole semester.

However, they do allow you to take a couple semesters with less classes.

Not useless, but perhaps overrated.
