It should be interesting to hear some specifics on his views, and how well he will be prepared...

C'mon now Cad. I actually don't know who I'm voting for yet, and I just figured some people might be interested in this info.

I'll be checking out the debates. Man, oh man, I sure hope as we get closer to Nov 2004, that there's some unscripted debates between Bush and whomever the dems put forward. Can you imagine? Bush unscripted? Holy... It would almost be as funny as Ahnuld unscripted - only he's too chicken to do it. :p

Bush will avoid debates again. There will be only two or three. They will be tightly scripted to avoid surprises.

Bush is extremely vulnerable on his record, and he's shown no ability to think on his feet. He would be shredded in a free-form, face-to-face debate. His handlers won't let it happen.

The dems should force him into unscripted debates. The CA candidates are contemplating ways to do just that with Arnold. IMO, it's not a debate if you can prepare and rehearse your responses ahead of time. Perhaps they can cut Bush a deal: Enter an unscripted debate and we'll let you stand in front of a wall that says: "Mission Accomplished! Jobs & Growth! We found WMDs! Iraqis LUV BUSH!"

He can even show up in the package-enhancing flight suit for all I care. :p Just answer the damn questions Mister President!!! ;)

If he does decide to participate in any of the debates, don't forget to submit your favorite quote here.

The attacks and slander against Clark is moving into full swing. He will be our next President. What a world of difference. He is a real military man, not AWOL. He has real experience in foreign affairs. He can talk. Did I mention he can talk? Oh, and he can talk. The contrast, only touched upon here, is staggering. He will bring respect back to the nation, at home and internationally. I know this because I can feel it. There's just no better test. Sorry. This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.

I'm for Clark and failing that Kerry of Mass. None of the others seem to have the charisma necessary to effectively lead in this day and time.

Oh please. Respect back to the nation? At home? Hmmm, so far Bush hasn't gotten a blowjob in the oval office and wagged his finger at the people. Talk about embarrasing and disrespecting the institution of the presidency. Internationally? We didn't have it for 8 years because we were so impotent around the world. Blowing up fake chemical weapons factories in Africa, letting our soldiers be dragged in the streets in Mogadishu, warships being attacked and blown up, etc. etc. This is what you consider respect for the US? What a joke. Now the world is going to respect us because we are not going to just sit back and relax while this sort of bullshit goes on. The UN isn't going to be calling the shots anymore like they were in Somalia. Never should have been, but we learned our lesson and finally told them to stick it.

I think Clark is one person who understands that other nations are sovereign nations and we don't rule them (yet, it seems) He understands the UN is the International Body of Nations of which we are merely a member. This is good. What goes on in another country is that country's business subject to the oversight of the UN not the whim of the US.

OH PUH LEEZE

You've obviously lived under a rock, a Rush Limbaugh sized rock that last 8 years. Well, welcome back to reality!

First off... most of the world was amused that we made such a big deal about Clinton's "blowjob". Did you see all the newspapers around the world? No one cared about what Clinton and Monica did except for the Republicans. And I can still see to this day they still haven't moved on with their lives.

Second the Iraq war is a DISASTER, alot more American soldiers died during this war than all of Clinton's wars and blowjobs combined. The war is a 160 billion dollar and counting money pit.

Third, gee whiz thanks george bush for making us respect us more...
Anti-Americanism on the rise

Whats this? George Bush is going back to the UN for help? If we're doing so well by ourselves why are we going to back the same UN we snubbed months ago?
Dubya ask UN for help

Edit: Guess who really "blew it" on Osama. I'll give you a clue. It ain't slick willy. ;)

Not very effective. But, till something better comes along tis all we got. Ask why is it not effective. Who are the folks doing the doing. Are the UN folks from some other solar system or are they the same folks who are not effective. Are we them? There has to be a rule of law and now it is the UN. We have to accept that or get out and be the Lone Ranger. Either way, I don't care so long as we don't violate the rule of law. What do we become if we do.. A Saddam enforcing our will (right or wrong) on another sovereign nation?

Ahh, but one thing I heard from Clark LR, is that he understands what the UN is good for and what it is not. I know you know, but many people look at the UN and see it doesnt do military things well. It wasnt supposed to. It plays a very different and more important role. Even Bush is starting to clue in on some of it, although the considerable value of the institution may not occur to him.

Winston,
The UN could become a place of solution in all things if ALL the players used it as such. When push comes to shove and everyone is pushing in the same direction, it is effective in creating enough pressure on the overly aggressive rouge nations, via armed intervention, to bring about reason even among the unreasonable, I think... especially, when the US pride is subordinated to the cause at hand. Being a member of the UN has its disadvantages too when you're the big guy and you want the little guy's candy.
Clark has the savvy and charisma to lead in an effective manner regarding foreign affairs. Domestic affairs, I suppose, require a bit more than a monkey see monkey do while watching the hippo poo, as we have today. I don't know what Clark's fiscal plan might be. Can't be too much a problem for him though, given he'll surround himself with the Clinton team.
