ap bio help

I didn't take AP Bio, and it has been 4 years since I took a bio class, but isn't it important because it splits the number of chromosomes in the cell in half, so the sex cells only have half the chromosomes of a normal cell, allowing 2 sex cells to come together and have a full set.

Because meiosis undergoes 2 chromosome divisions to make 4 haploids, in which can be fused with haploids from the opposite sex to make zygotes. Meiosis also allows for diversity by crossing over chromosomes to create different haploids every time.
