Running a P3 700 with an AOpen MX64 mother board, GeForce 2 and I am getting BAD frame rates in quake3.

First let me say I know its NOT my config as I have everything turned off and have tried many different settings.
Its also not VSYNC or my refresh rate.
I am running the latest Detonator drivers for the GF2.
I have updated the bios and got the latest VIA drivers.

I cannot get any more than 107 FPS in 640x480. I know thats nothing to whinge about but it should go a LOT faster.

So if anyone knows please reply!

Thanks,

DM

Did you turn the sound off? I think most reveiw sights do. See what you get at higher res, and compare that as well to the reveiw sights. Monitor refresh rate maybe? I personally could not be able to see the difference between 107 and 120+ fps, and wouldn't worry to much about it. With my setup, 6.18 drivers, 1024x768 16 bit, sliders all the way up, triliner on, no brass, no sky, low quality sound, timedemo 1 = 91.0fps
