Aopen DVD Burner not reading blank media Need Help

Aopen DVD burner recognizes CD's and a DVD movie. However, The DVD
> audio from the movie is all messed up. It sounds like it is skipping.

Model number DUW1608/ARR
updated firmware from A060 to A080
windows XP
Whenever I put the blank DVD-R disk in nothing happens. When I double click on the drive in my computer I get an error. H:/ is inaccessible. Incorrect function

What brand/model blanks are you trying to use?

my new NEC 3520a had that problem with some cheap media,
people said use better media but i felt something else was screwy ..turned out to be
a weak power supply.
burns cheapo media great now.
