AOpen DVD-1240...when I run Drive Region Info v1.1 it says "problem with ASPI layer detected"...

Any ideas? I've tried the suggestions (disable DMA) and it didn't make a difference. Currently, I can watch DVDs with PowerDVD. But I can't using Ati's DVD player. It tells me that "this disc is not formatted to play in this region" It's a Region 1 disk. Any ideas??

Have you tried reinstalling the ATI DVD player to make sure the right region is selected on the ATI software?

It shows that it installed as Region 1. That link you posted, it says on the page to not install it on Windows ME.

Remember you can only change the region 5 times, or you can use a hack so you can change it as many times as you want.
