I don't know you guys, but I used to have some AOpen mobos, and when I asked for support, the service centers never gave me an accurate answer to my problems, their only answer TRY TO UPDATE THE BIOS!!!!!

I personally don't like AOpen, I first vote for PC-CHIPS, then AOpen!!

I use to hear good things about AOpen, but now I don't hear much about the company at all. Now I hear there support sucks.

How many mobos of theirs have you worked with?

I only know that Aopen is a part of ACER computer which is probabbly a familiar name to be one of the first pentium1 computer system builder. I once had Aopen mobo for my second pentium 133mhz seven years ago,... they don't produce Socket A mobo do they?

I'm wondering probably now this company have been bought by ECS group, like PC CHIPS and Shuttle which are now belong to ECS.

Hi,

I have Aopen's AK73 Pro (A) with a AMD 750 t-bird. The boards been running great since I installed it, just (see my new post?) the fdd light stays on, and on boot-up I get message "fdd not detected". So I figure I must of bungled the fdd install.

Take Care, JAB.
