For those familiar with the Shopss.com computer, I installed a PIII 667 in the computer (with the AX6BC EZ mobo). When I turn on the power, the computer starts to beep and all of the drives start to whir, but nothing else. Nothing appears on the monitor (which I know to be working)...not even the BIOS. Can't seem to boot up from either a CD or a floppy.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I haven't heard of shopss.com, but I have used an AOpen AX6BC Pro Gold.

You might start by listening to counting the beeps - they are a code to tell you what's wrong. The key to the code may be in your owner's manual. If you don't have an owner's manual then go to:

http://www.aopen.com.tw/products/mb/ax6bcez.htm

and download the User Manual and read other things. Maybe you can get help at the AOpen site or where you bought it. If something is defective it should be replaced under warranty.

Also, check this installation guide:

Also try clearing the BIOS or CMOS - that procedure should be in the board's manual. And read the troubleshooting section of the board's manual too.

I found no beep codes in my board's owner's manual. To trace beep codes start here (assuming you have an AWARD BIOS):
