Aopen AX5T and Windows 2000

I know this is antique hardware, but I have a specific use for it. I'm trying to install windows 2000 with this board and I'm having no luck. After the files are copied and Win2K starts up for the first time I'm getting the screen with a memory dump and the computer locks up. Windows ME has run fine on this system. It has a K6-2 400 installed. I think it's setup with a 66 fsb and 6 multiplier. I'm thinking it's a bios problem. It has the latest bios which was put out somewhere around the end of 1999. Anyhow, I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with this boad and may be able to give me some pointers.

Wasn't the maximum CPU speed on the AOpen AX5T: 233 or 266 MHz, unless you voltage mod it?

I've run Win2K on that board with a K6 233 MHz (no voltage mod). So as long as the voltages are correct, it should work.

The newest bios added support (somewhat) for the k6-2's. I didn't set the board up (bought it from a user here with cpu and jumpers installed). I don't know, maybe the k6-2 doesn't agree with it. Seems to run ME okay though.
