Aopen AX59 pro and fan connectors?

I recently purchased the Aopen AX59 pro board for use with a K6-2 400 chip. Installation was a breeze (this was the first time I've built my own system) and had no problems.

The manual makes reference to a FAN connector and two other FAN connectors on the motherboard. I see them but I have nothing to connect into them. I would assume these are for hardware monitoring but do I have to have a special CPU fan to use them? I'm using the stock fan and heat sink that came with the AMD chip. It doesn't have any extra cables sticking out of it. Just the one for power.

Any clues?

You must use fans with a 3pin plug as opposed to the regular Molex plug like on your harddrives and stuff. The 3pin plug supplies power and monitoring.
