AOL Instant Messenger -- How to remove ads?

Hello all.

I just downloaded the new beta 4.7 AOL Instant Messenger. Before, I had read somewhere about how to remove the stupid ad box at the top of the IM window. Of course, fater installing the new version, the ad box is back.

Does anyone know what I have to do in order to remove that ad box? I believe it involved editing a file in the Aim95 directory.

If Purgative doesn't work, install and older version of AIM like the better alpha 4.4.

After the past few days, i really don't want to see that stock ticker.

See the thing with the stock ticker is.. you can goto My Aim file menu and goto stock ticker detail window and it opens it up.. if you wanna check up on it once a day or something.. it's not the greatest ticker anyway
