AOL IM not working. Says "Connection refused by proxy"

I'm not using a proxy server to connect to the internet, so I'm guessing something else it has to bounce off of is not liking it. Anyone know how to remedy? I've tried it on 2 different ISPs (My usual and NetZero)

Make sure you're connecting to login.oscar.aol.com... ? Default port: 5190.

I guess you've already done that.

When you went through the Internet Explorer setup wizard, did you select "automatic proxy setup?" (somthing like that)
You might not remember if you did that. You can go through the wizzard again, if you want to, and you have some clue as too what you are doing.

Otherwise, I am stumped.......

Seems to be working now. I forgot to mention that it worked for a couple minutes when I first restarted the computer, then I was disconnected from it (not the internet.) I used the "automatically configure" deal within AIM setup and it changed the port, now it seems to work for long periods of time. Thanks guys.
