a) does aol have a tech support #? i cant find ANYTHING on their website

b) trying to setup DSL AND dial up so if dsl goes out then i can still get internet, but they have a usb dsl modem, (winXP home), and xp like wont use the modem cause it keeps saying "network cable unplugged", but there is no network cable because its usb

can someone link me to or give me step by step instructions for getting aol to work w/ a usb cable modem?

Hey there,

Well, did you go and try to use the manaul setup where the user has to setup his own DSL ??
I am assuming so. I have heard a few probs with the DSL modems not being recognized by the
comp. If that is the case....try and send it back to get a CAT 5 modem....a network card is only about
$15-25 for Netgear, Linksys, or Dlink. I also think I saw some 3COMS for $40. Is there any kind of software accompanied
with it like drivers or anything else ??
