AOL DSL and Linksys Router will not connect!!!

I am trying to hook up a AOL DSL system to a LINKSYS WRT54G router. I can connect to the internet with the AOL DSL signed on. When I follow the directions on the Linksys connect CD it goes all the way through to the end when the router tries to connect to the inernet. I tried the cd about 6 times following the directions exactly, I also tried the linksys easyconnect program.

Every time it goes through all steps except for last where the router connects to internet. The router settings do reflect proper login information including my @aol.com login.

Have you tried unplugging the modem for about 1 minute and trying again?

Yes I unplugged the modem for longer then a minute a few times before I plugged it back in.

That guide has the same steps I followed on the Linksys CD and Easyconnect.

I dont understand what is going on here this should not be a problem connecting a regular AOL DSL modem to a brand new Linksys Router.

your problem is AOL DSL that is it in a nutshell. go to your local telco company and sign up for plain a$$ dsl and save yourself from this retardedness. AOL is like a dirty used car salesman.
