If you are trying to check AOL email with Outlook they won't allow you to do that. You have to use AOL's email client.

it shouldn't be AOL's smtp server.....you should just be able to put your company's server information into the required fields. AOL allows for someone to do what you want to do...i used to do it and had no problem doing so (I checked my school email from home using AOL as my internet connection and outlook as my mail software)

sekser, unless AOL has changed something in the past year, you won't be able to use AOL's dial up connection to send any email unless its a web account or via your AOL address. I asked a tech this one time and they said that AOL's email doesn't work that way and they don't have an SMTP server. You can check the email all you want, but if you want to be able to send email from your work email, you will probably need to get a dialup into you work.
