America Online, the largest Internet service provider, on Wednesday said it was planning to introduce a service that would allow users of its instant messaging (news - web sites) to talk to each other through Sony Corp (news - web sites)'s (6758.T) PlayStation 2 (news - web sites) video game console.

Why would I want to IM on my ps2? I'm assuming if you have the broadband adapter that you have a computer and you would much rather use that instead.
