If you use AOL AIM then it's time to debug your computer.

Read This !

AIM comes with Viewpoint Media Player installed on your computer without your permission, if you uninstall it, it will be reinstall the next time you load up AOL 🙂
Not only that, AOL put free.aol.com on your Internet Explorer's "Trusted" security zone so that it will allow that site to download, install and execute any piece of software completely without interaction with the user.
AIM will download movie trailer without you knowing it and advertise it on your comp.
Oh and you do know that AIM comes with Wild Tangent, right ?

All the right reason to use AOL 🙂
 
if you have teh latest version you will, i just ran adaware on my GF comp and it found 100+ wild tangent things, all from AOL because she doesnt use her comp to get it from anyplace else, that 100+ in like 2weeks

That makes sense i guess, adaware mustve removed it.
 
I think only WinAmp 3.x that installed WT.
I've never seen WT on WinAmp 2.xx installation.

You can always use custom install to check what it comes with on WinAmp.
