my girlfriend tried to log onto her Aol account and was denied and given a 1-800 number to call. upon calling the number she was informed that she had sent porn related material to another member, this happened at 3:00 central standard time while she was at work in a management meeting,

is there any way to find out who, and maybe why this person did this. does AOL maybe log IP addresses this came off of. i know on a dial-up account its not static but dhcp, but is there any way?

i am not an AOL guru and am looking for you fine peoples help.

thanks for help in advance!

As you said, there isn't really any way to find out who it would be from a dynamic addy... anyone else live by/with her that would have access? roomate? Other than that, just open a new account...not that hard. :)

AOL will not help in anyway. Just look at the problems they gave Anand.

Considering the proxy network AOL has set up to reduce the amount of IPs they have to buy it is not that easy to track people down.

AOL rocks hardtime. Every perv and scammer on seven continents hang out there looking for a sucker. Tell your gf to get a real ISP and quit playing with the kids at AOL.

The master account holder needs to call AOL and ask for the CAT team. You may plead your case to them, and they might reinstate you. They will recommend you change the passwords on all the accounts and scan for viruses, mainly trojans.
