AOL, a subsidiary of... MICROSOFT???

After Time Warner announced they might shed AOL this week, rumors are circulating that Microsoft could leap on the opportunity. The New York Post claims Time Warner execs have met privately with Microsoft about a possible purchase of the black-sheep of the Time Warner family. Time Warner lawyers are also analyzing any possible antitrust violations such a merger would cause, the Post claims. A Microsoft investment in Time Warner Cable is also being considered, the paper indicates.

It would ge a good thing for micrsoft to own them. Might bring down teh over-priced aol and make it easier to use.

BUT I doubt it would get passed the justice department.

Right now AOL is losing users left and right. They are even having a hard time mergering Aol to other parts of Time Warner.

MSN is $21.95 as it is right now. And MSN isn't nearly as friendly user or intuitive as AOL is/was.

If microsoft buys AOL they'll have to get it at an extremely cheap price. AOL is in shambles now.

For it to explode, it would have to work correctly. Most likely the bomb would gpf and just sit there like a dud.

i think you missed his point. the first guys saying ms should blow up, hes saying but you still use xp even tho you dont like em.
