you think it's a repost but it's not.

Here's a webpage I made that will do the rearranging from this puzzle on any text you like.

You think it's as easy to read as the original?

Here's the original, in case anyone forgot it:
Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the lteters in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat lteter be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.

I just wanted to see if really putting them in random order was as easy to read as the chain letter said, or if the chain letter put them in a specifically easy to read order.

Its not that hard if you think about it.

Break up all the code into words. Make a function to rearange the words and return it to you. Add the spaces back.

I'm not talking about the code itself. I'm sure quite a few ATOT'ers could write such a program. I'm saying we all know Notfred couldnt do it... :p

the human mind is awesome

I found it just as easy to read in your version as well, notfred. The only difficulty I had was some weird randomizations of the word "problem".

I've manulaly mdae similar caehgns to wdros and it deos wrok, for the most prat, but, some antraemgrns of leretts are eeasir to dbcemlasre than otehr antenerrmgas.

Using the press release again, most folks already know what it says so it's difficult to NOT get it.

Something about where the vowels and consonants are... drastic changes to the letters does make it more difficult, especially in longer words. 3,4,5 letter words are easier to descramble than 6-10letter words, etc.

Hmm interesting, tell me what I missed...

Regardless, extremely collosal words interfere with the ??? ability to ??? ??? the messages

Edit: I think the ability to decypher the words directly correlates to whether I even use/know the words used in the sentence, as the research explained (the mind must understand the word in the first place / IE: somewhat common).

craniums ability to ??? the messages

EDIT: dissect... got it, but I had to look away from the word and think of the letters in my head.

Old and disproven. Many words are easily read but if you flip the midde of the word, things quickly become confusing.

The cetupmor is ulbane to ccennot to the petnirr.

Decipher that, simple sentence.

The ones above were really easy to read at almost full reading speed, but the one you just posted is making me think to hard.
