I also like how he hedged his reply with the word efficient. Public policies should be efficient but efficiency is not a policy in of itself. Ironically, giving out welfare to those in need is a hell of a lot more efficient than any tax cut of which I’m positive greenman supported many times.

And giving out checks to everyone and then taxing it back from those that don't need it is even more efficient. It's why we should have moved to UBI + VAT a decade ago or more.
