Personally, were I a congressional person I would not want to act in ways that would open myself to charges of hypocrisy. I would not be in a party trying to promote the wearing of masks and then vacation if Florida of all places, and go to parties maskless. I know also that the party was open air. I only care that people seem to lack the foresight to anticipate the consequences of having great responsibility and wanting to act as a free spirit. I would have to think that if I provide ammunition to the opposition it will not be just me that ammunition will be used against.

Hey. People get covid. Covid is a virus not a political party, and people catch viruses. People pass viruses. No one ever said that the available vaccines would stop covid, however those vaccinated will handle the virus easier and seldom need hospitalization. And I will bet that AOC has been fully vaccinated, so I wouldn't worry about AOC. But we all know this, nothing new to tell.

What we need now and need more so than test kits are really good masks. Where the fight against covid is failing are with the masks. No one seems to address the issue of masks. When it comes to masks we are all over the place. Some wear n95, some wear home made, some wear cutesy masks with images of puppy dogs or kitty cats, but no one knows for sure if their mask works or provides any protection at all. That is, other than the true n95 masks, and few of us have access to n95 masks.

Am I the only one who is concerned about masks? Concerned whether or not your mask of choice is effective at all? I believe that America is now to a point where having access and the wearing of the correct mask just may make all the difference in the world. And.... could cut infection rates by 2/3 rds. I think we have reached the vaccine limits when so many still and stubbornly refuse to vaccinate, and so the mask may fill the void where vaccination leave off. But.... we need really good effective masks that really work, and every American man woman and child needs to be wearing one of those proven effective masks. And the government must begin producing and furnishing those masks by whatever means, and getting the masks out to the people. WHY some sort of national government regulations concerning masks does not exist for ensuring standards and safety is the big question. The govermnent needs to get its act together concerning masks and stop this willy nilly approach concerning masks. Joe... make those masks and mail them out. Or, make them available for everyone at every Walgreens drug store. And, for free.
