Anyways to test my memory to see if it's doing what it should?

I have two sticks of Crucial 256mb PC133 RAM. Lately, all my applications seem to be lagging, and my computer has rebooted without warning many times. I've even had a few blue screens. Anybody know any good tests for RAM? I don't have any additional RAM to test with...i'm hoping windows has some type of diagnostic testing or something... Thanks!

Memtest took over 2 hours and still was not done. Does anybody know of a quicker test for memory? Thanks...

I have a stick that was bad - memtest showed errors right away. It will take time to complete - but if memory is bad it should show stuff pretty quickly. Otherwise the tried and true swapping memory on different slots, computers is a good way to do it.

why not test 1 stick of it at a time? the memtest is inaccurate, it say my good memory is bad and takes too long anyway.
but there are other reason why your computer is lagging, how fast your computer say more then 1ghz? if so, the video card without sufficient cooling will cause freeze up or lag after 30min to a few hour of usage.
