Just do a system restore to a point before you installed SP1, why do you want to go back anyway, I have had no probs since I installed the beta SP1 or the latest release.

I noticed my Kids computer boots up a lot slower now with SP1 than it did before it was installed.

What did they install to slow down the boot up speed? It still runs fast after it boots up. It just boots
up real Slow. Around 3-6 minutes compared to 1 - 60 secs. before.

Kids machine is a Athlon 1GHZ, MSI 6330 Lite motherboard, 512Megs Ram, 60 GB IBM Deskstar HD, Diamond Stealth III AGP card.

I also retrieved all of the updates for the motherboard. I ran BootVis, Cacheman, Regcleaner & WinOptimizer. No change in
boot up speed.

I installed SP1 on three different systems and they all seemed a little sluggish. The first reboot is letting the operating system familiarize itself with its new configuration. If your kid's computer continues to boot slowly, you should defragment the hard drive OS partition.

I thought the service pack was a bad idea initially, but once I optimized the C drive...everything is faster.
