I am trying to install PGP 7.1.1 onto XP pro SP1, I used to be able to but I think SP1 changed something and it won't install now. has anyone else ran into this? anyone have an idea on tricking it into installing?

Try the new 8.0 it loaded on mine but it is a beta version. But release version should be released before the beta runs out

I downloaded the zip and it has two files the .exe and a .sig file, when I choose the .sig file it tells me the sig is invalid. Does that mean there is something wrong with the version I downloaded or what ?

I use PGP Freeware (6.5.8) on XP with no problems. Any significant differences with v8? I did have problems with v7 and the network adapter plugin.

the sig just verifies the file, it's the pgp signature for it, run the exe to install

pgp 8.0 doesn't have the vpn option to bind to your NIC, I had problems with that as well.
