Anyway to remove "uninstall/backup" folders of Windows updates

say i have some windows 2000 machines that are loaded with the windows updates in the add/remove programs listing. They have backups on to restoring windows to the previous states, anyway to safely remove the backups and uninstalls? Also, anyway to force windows update not to create backups and uninstalls when running windows update?


i dont want to go through the pain of making a script to do this as an automated install.

Anser to seccond question: no idea.

Just show hidden files and folders, then go into C:\WINNT and delete them. I do it all the time.
