So I'm visiting my parent's vacation house and, since they're rarely here, they only have dial up. It's painful. Anyway to make it less painful? I haven't looked into this in a while so now i'm a bit clueless... I'm using Win Vista on my laptop.

You could get an accelerator, basically something that would compress the images to make pages load faster, or just steal the neighbor's internets
 
Or you could lay off the internet addiction while you're there and enjoy what life is like without internet!
 
I wish we got 56kbps. I'm stuck with 19.2-24kbps. 🙁 Accelerators help, though you have to reload any pics you want to see properly.

How? Have you deleted any things on the line to the computer such as fax machines?? One time when I had dial-up, I took off the fax machine and got 5 Kbps!!!
