Anyway to make Bellsouth hurry the hell up getting DSL to me???

Back approx. 6 months ago I inquired to Bellsouth about getting DSL. They said that it was not available, but the would put me into their computer to find out when I would be able to get it. I was like, yeah, sure, whatever.

So I call back a week later, and they say it'll be available to me by Dec.

Woohoo, finally, I thought. So December comes, and goes, and I call Bellsouth again to ask, and they say it is not available to me, and I am not even in their computer, so they can't give me another (evidently fake) date. They said that they'd put me back into the computer. :| makes me really mad.....

So, is there anyway I can pursuade them to get stuff done faster? Call them up every fu.cking day and ask, then immediately call back again and ask again?

I'm really pissed, as I've been broadband less forever, and I was really hoping I could get it.

Call up and tell them your holding their bandwidth hostage. And you'll need a DSL line put in immediately for ransom. The consequence will be no less then death.

As long as you say the magic words before they contact the authorities you'll be fine. And no, the magic words aren't "just kidding". Their "fuk you!".

Just get on their email list. They should email you when it's ready. I played the same games with them 4 years ago. I was on the list for a good year. Finally got the email and called that very day.

Yeah I already signed up on their email list, earthlink DSL, and directv DSL, because they'll all be available when DSL is available here....
Different provider.....same service stuff....

been there and done that, for two years :Q

seriously I was promised Cable access two years ago, and they still haven't gotten it setup yet.

about a year ago I heard that my phone company was going to setup DSL, so I figured why not. I signed up, etc... hoping that it would be available last spring. I didn't get it installed until the end of Sept. last year.

It was still worth the wait, I don't think I could ever go back to dial up anymore.

Theres nothing to do except wait... I think one of the reasons it took so long in my area was lack of interest in broadband. (rural town/city). Most people here (other than my few friends who still live around here) are AOL people that buy stuff from the DUDE YOU GOT A DELL kid...

At last someone who is feeling the pain that I feel. I live here in California.
I live between SanDeigo and Oceanside. I have been checking whit all companies
to see who offers DSL in my area. Luckie me, I live in virgin land for DSL.
What makes this even funnier is that out my livingroom window I can see
the Cox Cable Main hub where they run all the cable in from. It is less than 25 maters.
I have called Cox and sure enough they have cable but not on my side of the street.
No kidding, the people on the other side of the street have DSL service and I dont.

I have had the Cox people come out and have shown them, all they do is laugh and tell
me to call and get on their service list.
I have tried all of the compaines here, ATT/Packbell/Roadrunner, you name it and I have tired it.

Yeah I know how you feel..... i figure that as I'm packing my car to take off to college(2 years from now).....Bellsouth will call me and say, "DSL service is now available in your area." And I'm literally gonna tell 'em to fu'ck off. :)

DSL is available up the street, and cable stops(literally, stops, they were told by the FCC that they couldn't expand because evidently satellite dish companies need business too. Thanks a lot FCC, go to hell) up a hill really close to my house.

Like this:

_______________#######Cable stops here#####
