Anyway to improve D3D performance in Win2000 besides installing Win98?

Are there any tweaks or anything that can be done to improve D3D performance? OpenGL doesn't seem to suffer in Win2000. I've already done some tweaks, such as putting my video card on it's on IRQ etc. Anything else that can be done?

How bad "low" is your performance? What type of Video Card are you running? Need some more info here.

Well, with 3DMark and Win 98, I score a 4300 on the default benchmark. Now, I score a 3300 at 800x600x16. I have a GeForce 2 MX. Any ideas?

People STOP using 3DMark 2000 in Win2000! It doesnt benchmark correctly! In Dues Ex I get the same FPS in both 98 and 2000... so D3D doesnt suffer that much!

Well, it does say that it runs on Win2000. Shouldn't they say that it isn't to be used as a valid benchmark on Win2000 computers? I've also seen sites like FiringSquad use 3DMark 2000 to evaluate D3D on Win2000.

Well anyone who uses it in a review is a p00n hehe. Trust me Win2000 doesnt take a bug D3D hit.... I lost 1FPS in Dues Ex between 98 and 2000. In Q3 I actually gained 4... probably due to NTFS.
