anyway to get XP to automatically play media files with Media Player Classic?

always trys to play WMP 9 even when I right click choose program Media player classic and choose the always open with this program box. any work around?

try opening wmp9 and going into the settings, and telling it not to be the default program. also make sure there is no option for it to 'reclaim' those settings. you can also go into control panel, folder options, the file types tab, and individually configure each specific file type (.avi, mpg...) to open with mplayer2 (classic).

Shift right click open with WMP classic.
