Anyway to get Vista and XP to share game files?

Right now I have a dual-boot of Vista and XP. They are both on a 74GB Raptor so I don't have much space to go around. XP has a 50 gig partition and Vista has 20 gigs.

So is there anyway I can have access to my games on both Vista and XP, from one set of files? I don't have room to install each game on both OS's.

I was thinking install a game in XP, then do it again in Vista, pointing it to the XP location, overwriting the files with the same files. But it might get screwy with the registry and settings and such.

Thanks for any help.

You can get the games to share saves, but the binaries will have to be installed separately on each operating system. I'm not saying it is impossible to get other portions of the game installs shared, but it wouldn't be easy. I'm thinking along the lines of, say, you install the game on both os's, and then take the large data directory with all the static stuff in it, and move it to a third location. Then you replace the actual data directory under both installs with a symbolic link to the shared folder. I haven't tried it. Don't know if it would work. Might be slower. Here's some links to some reading.
