Anyway to get the radio code w/out going to dealership?

My fiance's battery died recently and we had to get her a new one. WHen we did the radio obviously was reset.

However when she bought it there was no radio code given to her, and she just called the dealership and they told her the only way to get the code is to bring it in monday - friday. Howevre she's about to go on a 2 hour trip and was wondering if there was anyway she could get it working.

Does anyone know any other ways to find it out?

On my camaro, it had a sticker with the code or a number listed in the manual to call with the vin, etc to get it.

You can look in numerous places. My accord has it listed on a sticker in the glovebox. If it isnt there, check to see if she just didnt look hard enough and its printed on the manual or anything in the glovebox that she got when she bought the car. I've heard it can be on the inside of the console on the side but never actually seen it there. Other than that i cant think of anything else, and good luck.

The places this is most commonly found is on the left side of the glove compartment, in the trunk somewhere along the gasket or underneath where the speakers are, under the fuse-box panel in the engine compartment, under the ashtray and sometimes under the center consoles lid. Well, I'm not a very lucky guy because it couldn't be found in any of those places. So being the determined guy that I am I decided to do the dangerous and risky maneuver of changing the battery with the car running.

I think I researched this for my wife's '04 Civic a few months ago, I'm afraid I didn't find a simple solution (I seem to remember finding some long and complicated process that might unlock it on some random message board, but I wound up not having to pull the battery so it was a moot issue).

I would be wary that they are trying to get you there to sell you something. When I worked for a junkyard, we could just call them, and give them the VIN and serial # on the radio and they would give us the code.
