Anyway to get Mozilla mail to put replies on top of the quote instead of at the bottom?

It's pretty much standard procedure to have the quote below the reply, but mozilla does it backwards.

Anyway to reverse it?

Putting the quote above the reply makes more sense. You want to reply to the quote. How else are you going to split up the quote and reply to different parts of it seperately. I always hated getting a long reply to a long email and having to wade through what I typed 2 days ago to figure out WTF someone was talking about. I wish more email clients did things the logical way instead of the outlook way.

So then I guess that means I am stuck with having to scroll up during every email then.

Boo that.

Preferences -->> mail and newsgroups -->> composition -->> checkbox with a drop down menu: "start my reply below the quoted text" appears to be default but you have the option to set it above the quoted text. I just looked and found the option, so I guess I can say: Wrong forum! :)

Bitte. You were expecting something horribly complicated or buried 3 layers deep in some random menu item.

Actually since this is Mozilla, he was expecting an undocumented property to add to prefs.js ;)

I do agree with you that quoting after the reply plainly doesn't make much sense.
