Here's what happened my brother always messes up my comp so I don't let him know my administrator account password well anyway I told it to him yesterday by accident and today he was using it and low and behold he fvcked things up again. Anyway after fixing it I changed the admin pass and I forgot what I changed it to! It isnt any of my common passwords. Is there anything I can do?

Scarpozzi: I heard if you don't think about something you remember what you wern't thinking about 😕

but I tried that it didn't work. I just got back from the beach and well I still don't remember! 🙁

There is another way. At least with NT anyways. It involves taking the HD out and sticking it into another machine and copying the security file over or something like that.

Assuming you know the pwd of the admin account on the other machine.

Search the net for it.

there is a program called LockSmith? by wininternals.com that can break any admin password in under an hour or something...

EDIT : the correct site is winternals.com

kill your brother. sure, it won't fix your computer. but it'll keep it from happening again. and it'll make you feel good.
