Anyway to get a CDrom working on the HPT controller on KT400 Soyo black? =/

Okay i have been having numerous data corruption problems with my board. I've tried everything and narrowed it down to the primary ide controllers on the motherboard. It seems only the HPT controllers work problems free. So is there anyway to get a cdrom device to work on the HPT controller?

Atapi devices typically don't work on ATA Raid.
