This is the monitor I have
http://www.proview.net/product/ps/ps910.htm
And I am using radeon 7000 video card. The contrast at max isn't very good, neither is the brightness. Using the radeon's gamma correct doesn't make it look very good, so is there anyway to increase the britness and contrast of a monitor?
Thanks

You can, but it is at the expense of image fidelity and great risk to yourself. Almost every monitor has color and picture controls mounted to the yolk of the tube and the motherboard. The varistors are not very secure and bend easily. If you do decide to become a monitor tech, a set of plastic drivers is highly recomended. You can find these tools at Radio Shack and other eletronics stores.

DC

Please remember this is not recomended.

Focus is bound to suffer. Turn down the ambient light , pull down the shades, draw the drapes , or nail plywood over the windows instead.
